dolls+quilts.

i made dolls and quilts for a couple of our favorite girls this christmas. the pink haired dolly and striped quilt went to hailey as a happy first birthday/merry christmas gift. the quilt matches the one i made for her when she was born. the fact that i had enough scraps left over to make a doll quilt started this whole quilt+doll idea. and it was really fun to make girly dolls and coordinating quilts!
the purple haired girl went to my niece elise for christmas. i had fun experimenting with half square triangles for her little quilt. i think they came out cute!
i hope the girls enjoy them...even if they are a bit young for playing dollies!

p.s. the doll pattern is the black apple doll. but i make the arms and legs longer. and i sew around the arm and leg pattern pieces and then trim around them...way easier than cutting out those small pieces and trying to line them up and sew. and the quilts are roughly 16x20.
