ok i know it has taken forever to get these befores up...the house does not look like this now. i ran around a took pictures really quickly the first week we were here (but not before bringing in the suitcases and air mattresses!) so everything looks especially pathetic. we do have a lot of room here...but the house is old and slightly funky (see bathroom/laundry room combo above). so far we have painted the living room and hallway (forgot to take a pic of that...it is crazy long)  and part of the kitchen plus all the trim in those rooms. before that i cleaned all the walls. i also scrubbed the living room floor. there is still much to do. the bedrooms all need to be painted...need to decide on some colors. i don't know what to do about the yellow and brown bathroom...it basically needs to be totally redone. the kitchen cabinets could also use a serious sanding and repainting job. let's not even get started on the downstairs bathroom...craziness. if we owned the house i would be making some big changes...but we don't. we are just grateful to be living in a house which is in a really great neighborhood in a cute town with awesome schools....even if it is a little funky.

since i took these photos the floor in the kitchen has been replaced and the downstairs has been carpeted. i'm hoping that since i put these photos up i will be extra motivated to get more done...but it is slow going with three littles running around (well two running...one rolling).
