santa party.

the annual santa party...hosted by grandma judy. the boys were so excited...and loved every minute. we decorated cookies...had dinner...the kids got crazy (we couldn't go outside due to rain)...read stories...sang songs...santa came...and brought gifts! tate was brimming with joy the whole night...he couldn't contain himself. he was jumping up and down and was so happy and talkative...even to santa! so cute. beck was a little emotional...i think he burst into tears four times that night. he is a little melodramatic...especially when he's tired. overall it was fun! thanks grandma judy!

ties.

i made the boys ties! i had been wanting to for awhile...but never got around to it. so i thought maybe for christmas i would...then i got an email that the kids would be singing in the christmas program at church and they asked the boys to wear ties...so i made them. i am pretty happy with how they turned out...couple things i learned for next time (i'm pretty sure i will make more). i used this tutorial from the purl bee...but i switched the fabrics for the back of the ties...tommy hillfiger style. next up...a tie for bri! (beck was not excited about these pictures...tate was! and they both like the ties).

tate and beck's class caroled to a few high school classes and the office today...so cute. and tate for sure sang! they also had a little party, a book exchange, secret santas, and a visit from santa. the boys loved it all. the secret santa gifts most of all...they are everything our other toys are not. big, noisy and require batteries. oh well. i found the snow day poster in the class..beck's parts of the story are in orange..."once upon a time there were reindeers and tigers"..."then the sun came out and the snowman melted into a puddle, then the reindeers and the tigers drank the puddle". awesome. so so glad they love their little class!

bernie.

meet my new toy...bernie. she is what i got for my birthday and christmas (and more). my poor little singer gave out on me a few months ago...and so i decided to upgrade. big time. it was so worth it. sewing is so much nicer and easier now! huge difference. now all i need is a house with a sewing/crafting room! oh and some new fabric...

completely unrelated....beck has been a spray beetle recently. who lives in the forests of wild west africa. (we got a book about beetles from the library last week).

outtakes.

i attempted to take photos of the boys because we are actually going to do christmas cards this year. it was really hard to get the boys to put on the outfits i had for them...and to get them to want to go take pictures. once we were there they were all into it and kept telling me new places they wanted to pose. of course they moved from place to place about every 30 seconds...but at least they were into it! bribing them with lollipops didn't hurt either.

bumpwatch.

22 weeks. this was last week actually (23 now...and my doctor told me everything was marvelous...and that i was due around the same time as one of his horses!). i'm feeling good...though i do feel a little huge for how far along i am. and then i remember that i had twins....

this is around the same timeframe with the boys....definitely bigger. but since everything got all stretched out before i'm popping out like crazy...that's my theory at least.
