i love how the apple quilt came out! it was our activity at the sprinkle for a lovely friend. i precut squares and we picked a color scheme and apple theme for the quilt. i pre-adhered the fabric to heat n' bond..so guests used apple and leaf templates and their imaginations and cut and ironed away! i finished up the quilt by sewing around the appliques and sewing the squares together...and putting it all together with the batting and backing, then quilted and bound! that sounds like a lot all written out...but it was a small quilt...it really didn't take that long! and this was finished and handed off shortly after the little one was born...two months ago. i am slow at posting...i apologize to anyone who was wondering how this all came out! i hope you can kinda tell by the pictures how cute it really is...it is difficult to photograph a quilt. good work everyone who helped!

pumpkin patch.
my mom and i took the boys to oma's pumpkin patch (before halloween) and it was really cool. beck could have lived in the mound of with diggers quite happily. there were also tons of games to play, a petting zoo, a cotton seed hill to slide down, and a tractor ride through the working dairy farm. and it only cost $6 a kid (adult free!) and included a water bottle and a pumpkin! go there next year!

my friend ashley and i took a beginning digital photography class at the crafts center. it was pretty good...a little less intense than i was anticipating. we only had one out of class assignment. we had an in class assignment every week though...(some of which are above). i would like to take another class...but probably at extension. and i would like to get a camera (someday...). i borrowed my dad's for class(thanks!). it's fun to take pictures with an slr and kind of know what you're doing!
